Gradually the footpath pass through the vally
and granite rocks and re-ascend towards the terraces of middle mountain
with shading woods, lovely farms spread all over the surrounding meadows,
up to the large mountain pastures and further more to the highest peaks
and mountains passes. Large passages with beautiful views hide a perfect footpath
for those looking for peace and loneliness, birds song and all those small
things to be seen with open eyes.

| Departure point: Gisser Eck (756m). Follow the
footpath sign number 1 for about 100 m - you are on the Kahler
footpath in a North direction; afterwards continue in direction East - cross
over the bridge - and go towards Rasteiner-Hof Farm ( Rast-Stein
= Rest point ) at 822 m above the see level. On the small square in front
of the Rasteinerhof house lies a charming antique
stone fountain with an inscription: "Jakob Gruber 1800"...
fron this point on the footpath goes further and after the second wooden
fence turns right towards Kiens. |
